Job Summary:

THIS IS A REMOTE POSITION. The Manager of Threat Intelligences is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing Access Point Consulting’s cyber security strategy, service offerings and staffing of analysts. This includes overseeing the daily operations of the threat hunting & intelligence department, leading the service offering in client engagements, setting and monitoring team goals, reporting employee productivity to directors, assisting directors in hiring and training of employees, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Lead engagement on Client accounts for service offering.
  • Manage team workload, staffing and tool/resource requirements.
  • Lead a team of threat hunters and intelligence analysts.
  • Provide executive level briefings and reporting both internally & externally to client accounts.
  • Set and monitor team goals.
  • Ensure the team’s adherences to best practices and standards are being met.
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive and ensure accountability.
  • Foster a high performing team culture while providing mentorship, guidance and coaching.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Assist with conducting scheduled training to ensure the team is current with the latest threats and incident response techniques.
  • Ensure communication with employees regarding policies and procedures has been completed.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Design and implement threat hunting and cyber threat intelligence (CTI) programs.
  • Align threat hunting and intelligence efforts with organizational risk management strategies.
  • Assess current security measures and identify areas for improvement in both internal & external environments (APC/Client).
  • Stay updated on emerging threats, tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
  • Guide the team in proactively identifying and mitigating threats before they cause harm.
  • Coordinate with SOC, incident response, vulnerability management, and risk teams.
  • Continue to Integrate threat intelligence into security tools and workflows.
  • Oversee hypothesis-driven threat hunts using tools like SIEM, EDR, and network analytics and ensure hunt plan is up to date and reported daily.
  • Ensure hunts are documented, repeatable, and measurable.
  • Supervise the collection, analysis, and dissemination of threat intelligence.
  • Validate intelligence sources and ensure actionable insights are delivered to stakeholders.
  • Provide support during incident response and post-incident analysis.
  • Help attribute attacks and understand adversary behavior.
  • Advocate for budget and resources to support threat hunting and intelligence initiatives
  • Translate technical findings into business-relevant insights.
  • Maintain documentation and metrics to demonstrate program effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain information security policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Education And Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology and/or Cybersecurity
  • 5+ years’ experience
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA preferred.
  • Proven experience in cybersecurity roles, with a focus on management and leadership.
  • In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks.
