The Houston Dynamo Football Club (HDFC) is a multi-faceted organization dedicated to inspiring and supporting soccer participation and growth in Houston, TX and beyond. The Club’s brands include men's and women's professional teams - the Houston Dynamo (MLS) and Houston Dash (NWSL), a development academy, Houston Dynamo Dash Charities, as well as Shell Energy Stadium and Houston Sports Park.

The Club has a rich history, including MLS Cup titles (2006, 2007) and in-season tournament championships for both the Dynamo (2018) and Dash (2020) and is focused on building toward the next championships, inspiring and uniting the city of Houston through the sport of soccer and community outreach, and creating the most inclusive sporting experience and diverse fan base in the city and state.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

This role will deliver project management, strategic planning, coordination, and implementation support to further the Security Department's strategic vision and key organizational initiatives. This role will provide significant contributions in advancing the development of Houston Dynamo Football Club (HDFC) projects, strategies, and objectives as it relates to personnel security and safety. Assist with the overall guest experience at all of our facilities.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership and direction to the Broadcasting and Guest Experience departments.
  • In conjunction with the Director of Security and Guest Services this position will oversee the day-to-day aspects of security for the Houston Sports Park (HSP) and Houston Dash team security.
  • Manage all contract security staff at HSP during regular work hours, events, and game days.
  • Manage all aspects of team security, including home games, team practices, team travel, and player appearances.
  • Create and deliver security operating procedures in conjunction with the Director of Security that improve execution and provide additional value in a fiscally responsible manner.
  • Responsible for ensuring all Standard Operating Procedures and training information is properly maintained and updated.
  • Develop work schedules, allocate tasks, and monitor HSP security staff performance.
  • Responsible for the accurate and timely completion of all payroll records.
  • Coordinate responses to emergencies and alarms, as well as compiling incident reports.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and security regulations.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Director of Security.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Business, Criminal Justice, or related field.
  • 3 years of security experience, preferably with sports teams, concerts, and other live entertainment events– Required.
