Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify and implement key partnerships that support the successful implementation of CB&E goals
- Support the ongoing process of department innovation by working with key staff, business stakeholders, and community leaders
- Facilitate regular community meetings and programs to foster relationship-building, and collaboration, and promote equitable services in neighborhoods served by Dwelling Place. Including:
- Affordable Housing Advocacy Programs
- Coordination of community input into Dwelling Place property renovations/developments
- Oversee communications between CB&E and other Dwelling Place Departments, and promote the work of the CB &E Department within the neighborhoods we serve.
- Lead and facilitate CB&E team building & process improvement-based workshops to drive ideas and solutions.
- Manage some AmeriCorps VISTA, Dwelling Place staff & interns.
- Oversee the successful use of the CRM for tracking departmental goals consistently & efficiently to better client and stakeholder management.
- Identify and deliver service improvement by implementing process methodologies and the application of innovative thinking.
- Assist in reviewing and evaluating engagement systems and activities and make enhancements to improve effectiveness. Track and report the progress of the Community Building and Engagement program to community members, staff, and board members.
- Acts in the Director of CB&E’s absence to complete required functions
- Some grant writing, and other duties as needed

Qualifications:

- Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree and one or more years related experience and/or training.
- Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Excel; Outlook; and Word.
- Professional Licenses, Certificates, Registrations Valid Michigan Driver’s License; Proof of licensure if BSW or MSW
- Other Skills and Abilities Must have mental health and substance abuse knowledge and or experience.
- Other Qualifications Must be willing to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed to complete the requirements of the position.
