The Construction Products Mergers & Acquisitions group is responsible for: 1) leading Arcosa’s investment and acquisition activity across its Construction Materials businesses; 2) monitoring the portfolio of businesses and effectuating the divestiture of non-core assets; and 3) evaluating capital allocation for strategic initiatives. Arcosa Construction Products Group is a leading U.S. producer and supplier of construction materials with facilities in 14 states. We manufacture and distribute construction aggregates—including natural and specialty materials—as well as trench safety and shoring equipment used on job sites nationwide.
Job Summary
We’re looking for a strategic leader to drive growth through business development and M&A within our construction aggregates division. This role focuses on identifying and acquiring new assets, integrating them post-close, and divesting non-core operations. You’ll be involved in the full M&A lifecycle—from sourcing and due diligence to execution and integration—while working closely with Arcosa’s leadership team. Reporting directly to the VP of Business Development and Finance, this high-visibility role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of a well-funded company with aggressive growth plans.

Day to Day
- Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, including greenfield sites, strategic partnerships, and acquisition targets.
- Drive deal flow through proactive sourcing, seller outreach, and management of the proprietary deal pipeline.
- Analyze regional demand trends and competitive positioning to inform strategic growth and acquisition decisions.
- Lead preliminary and full due diligence efforts—financial, legal, operational, and environmental—to assess fit and guide go/no-go decisions.
- Develop detailed financial models and valuation analyses to support investment decisions and capital deployment.
- Negotiate and execute transactions in collaboration with internal teams and external advisors (e.g., bankers, lawyers).
- Direct cross-functional teams to ensure successful post-acquisition integration aligned with operational and cultural standards.
- Build and maintain relationships with property owners, industry stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to define strategic priorities and support broader business development initiatives.
- Conduct ad-hoc strategic analyses and create compelling presentation materials for executive leadership and the Board.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, corporate strategy, investment banking, management consulting, private equity, or active corporate M&A—preferably within the construction materials or aggregates industry.
- Proven track record of leading successful acquisitions and integrations.
- Strong financial acumen with expert-level proficiency in valuation, financial modeling, and strategic planning.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with executive presence and the ability to engage senior leadership.
- Outstanding attention to detail, organizational skills, and a strong work ethic, including flexibility to work extended hours when needed.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% as needed.
