Spang Engineered Solutions, a division of Spang & Company, has an opening for a Maintenance Technician at its location in McKinney, TX. This position will be responsible for providing general maintenance labor for the repair and upkeep of our McKinney facility and as well as coordinating work with relevant vendors.
Spang Engineered Solutions designs and manufactures custom inductive components for an array of industries including renewable energy, solar, medical, aerospace, automotive, and military. Our manufacturing locations include Pittsburgh, PA, Phoenix, AZ, McKinney, TX, in the U.S.A., and Xiamen, China.
This role is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly facility and grounds by performing general cleaning and maintenance tasks. Key responsibilities include performing minor repairs across electrical, pneumatic, plumbing, and HVAC systems. Duties also involve equipment setup and repair, including maintenance and operation of forklifts as needed.
The position will conduct preventative maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on production equipment such as ovens and presses. This individual will serve as the primary point of contact for the landlord and will coordinate third-party services, including professional cleaning and lawn care.
Additionally, this role is responsible for managing the spare parts inventory and assisting with the procurement of critical components to support ongoing maintenance needs.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, along with 5 years of maintenance experience in a production environment. Candidates must have proficiency in using hand tools and power tools, the ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints, and the ability to lift 75 pounds. A valid driver’s license is required.
