Job Summary
Performs all tasks related to Machinist Operator Trainee. Operates other types of machinery such as numerical control (NC) and computer numerical control (CNC).
Primary Responsibilities
Able to perform all Machinist Operator Trainee duties.
Performs set up on at least one machine.
Able to set up and run 50% of product on primary machine.
Able to observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out of tolerance machining.
Essential Skills
Subject Matter Understanding. Computer Literate. Inspecting/Examining Ability. Mechanical Dexterity. Machining Aptitude. Housekeeping. Troubleshooting.
Work Environment
The employee is frequently exposed to guarded moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee frequently is required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk, sit, use hand to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds using appropriate moving devices. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Job Qualifications
REQUIRED: High School Diploma or equivalent. Six plus months of Vo-Tech, manufacturing, or mechanical exposure experience. Ability to read, interpret, and follow instructions, work orders and engineered drawings. Exposure to using hand tools and measuring tools (calipers and gauges). Basic mathematical and computer skills. Demonstrated ability to perform Trainee duties.
1500 SIGN - ON BONUS
$750 with first paycheck and $750 after 90 days
$1.50 / hour second shift differential
This position will work second shift Monday - Thursday, 3:15pm - 1:45am
