TRL Systems, a prominent fire life safety and security integrator in Southern California, is seeking a technician to install, maintain, and repair low voltage systems in commercial and secure environments. The role involves responding to service calls for various systems, including medical alert (nurse call), fire alarm, access control, video surveillance (CCTV), and intrusion detection.

As the Low Voltage Service Technician II your day-to-day tasks include diagnosing and troubleshooting malfunctions, repairing or replacing faulty equipment, providing technical support and training, and maintaining detailed service records. The technician will also collaborate with internal teams and vendors.

Schedule

  • Hour and days may vary.
  • Must be able to work weekends, nights, split shifts, and rotating shifts (if needed).

Skill Requirements

  • 5 years troubleshooting and repairing security, nurse call, and fire life safety systems (i.e. EST3, Lenel, and Ascom systems).
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent)
  • Valid California Driver License and proof of auto insurance.
  • Must be able to get required vaccinations/immunizations needed to meet client requirements.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Ability to drive for 2+ hours in a work shift/day, daily
  • Ability to walk, bend, stoop, hear, and speak, daily
  • Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments, under all temperature variations
  • Ascend/Descend and work at heights above 6ft and extreme heights, occasionally
  • Move/Transport items weighing 20 pounds, occasionally
  • Position self to work in confined spaces, occasionally
  • Pushing/Pulling using upper extremities, daily
  • Stand or Sit for long periods (4+ hours), daily
  • Operate company vehicle frequently
  • Work environment may be construction sites, commercial buildings, high rise/mid-rise buildings, and/or hospitals with patient contact.
