Purpose
This position is responsible for load management of DC & Vendor orders, carrier load tender, carrier selection, order management, making and tracking delivery appointments, maintaining order and load status information in internal TMS system or spreadsheets, handling and resolving delivery exceptions, communicating load status exceptions to shippers and receivers, resolving carrier issues in support of DCs.
Minimum Eligibility Requirements
Sedentary Work – Ability to exert 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements
- Experienced in utilizing Manhattan TLM software with “Super User” skill set
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
- Understanding of Department of Transportation Regulations.
- Strong skills in negotiations, planning and analytical talents.
- Highly motivated and committed to professional standards and performance.
- Must be organized and proficient in time management.
- Experience in routing, scheduling & consolidation of loads, backhaul operations
- Knowledgeable in supply chain terminology and methodology
- Relationship management
- Proven ability to work independently and as a team member
- Ability to be flexible and work analytically in a problem-solving environment
- Ability to simplify complex tasks and drive efficiencies
- Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
- Must display professionalism and confidence
- Excellent customer service skills
- Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience, preferably in Logistics or Supply Chain Management
- At least 3 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, logistics, distribution, retail, or in a strategic, supply chain management capacity
- Work experience that demonstrates proficiency with Manhattan TLM Software and Microsoft Office Suite. (Advanced Excel, Intermediate Word & PowerPoint)
- Ensures that operations are conducted safely and within the law
- Planning and directing utilize TMS and/or basic operational tools to develop transportation plan for the next day for all inbound and outbound requirements.
- Execution excellence: utilize Manhattan TLM and/or operational tools to plan, tender and execute transportation loads.
- Ensure proper routing, scheduling, and consolidation of loads by analyzing TLM consolidated load plans
- Analyze inbound and outbound routing efficiencies for all modes (includes Intermodal & Truckload). Identify opportunities and make recommendations for opportunities to reduce cost or improve service.
- Manage transportation delays and proactively communicate and resolve transportation exceptions.
- Work with Store Warehouse Leads & DC Transportation Coordinators to execute routes & resolve scheduling & delivery issues.
- Work with Merchandising, Distribution, and Operations to determine and coordinate the flow of goods through the network and help ensure business is aligned to support established flow plans.
- Monitor & Report carrier and service provider performance through Power BI reports.
- Provide status updates to the business pertaining to supply chain and business unit performance including a forward view of expected results/opportunities.
- Responsible for meeting assigned deliverables.
- Facilitates the relationship with Service Providers.
- Handles day-to-day management of F&D Shipments and pickup/delivery appointments.
- Administers freight quotations for all modes
- Participates in department’s special projects and research.
- Builds relationships with DC and transportation providers.
- Partners with Operations, Inventory, and Merchandising teams to achieve the company's strategic and tactical supply chain goals.
- Limited travel required including air and car travel.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet to moderate.
- This position is non-exempt, knowing it may include hours which exceed eight hours in a day or forty hours in a week
