What To Expect
Tesla is seeking a highly motivated and deeply process-oriented Logistics Analyst to join our growing supply chain team. In this role, you will manage critical domestic and international shipments to support Tesla’s vehicle production and international shipping operations to other plants, suppliers, and partners. The ideal candidate possesses strong problem-solving skills, a collaborative mindset, and a commitment to going the extra mile to drive results. This role requires perfect coordination with suppliers, carriers and Tesla warehouses/yards to maintain a smooth flow of inbound material and outbound returns to ensure the production line runs around the clock. The individual needs to be comfortable working independently and making sound decisions in short notice.
What You'll Do
Manage booking and coordination of the most cost-effective methods for importing/exporting goods while meeting delivery requirements Ensure timely preparation and accuracy of all shipping documentation (air, ocean, ground) to comply with business needs and deadlines Prepare, review, and verify hazardous material shipping documentation, including Dangerous Goods Declarations (DGD), Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and other required forms Maintain adherence to domestic and international regulations, including customs procedures, hazardous materials handling (e.g., IATA, IMDG), and global trade standards Conduct ongoing analysis to identify opportunity of cost reduction, process streamline, and carrier KPI improvement Ensure all stakeholders are provided with excellent service throughout the shipment process including quick response to inquiries and problem resolution Monitor carrier performance through KPIs and maintain proactive communication during OIL calls with carriers. Work cross-functionally with other organizations to meet key business goals and drive operational excellence
What You'll Bring
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in high-volume manufacturing logistics, supply chain or related field Familiarity with hazmat shipping regulations (e.g., IATA, IMDG) is a plus. DG Certifications, preferred. Training can be provided for the right candidate Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills Strong understanding of domestic and international shipping documentation and regulations, including customs and import/export procedures Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners Ability to travel up to 5% of time

Expected Compensation
$60,000 - $108,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
