We are looking for an ALL-STAR Legal Office Assistant who is passionate about serving others and is committed to providing our clients with an exceptional client experience. We are looking for a professional experienced in the legal field who is a self-starter, a quick learner, and a great multitasker. Our Legal Office Assistant must perform substantive billable legal work under the direction of two or more attorneys in the office. **Our hiring process has been carefully designed to assist us in finding the right fit for our team. There are several steps to the process. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys with all aspects of probate and estate administration, including drafting legal documents, preparing court filings, and managing case files
  • Manage a large case load with a sense of urgency to bring each matter to completion.
  • Communicate with clients, courts, and other parties involved in our legal proceedings
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of case information and deadlines
  • Assist with scheduling appointments and managing attorney calendars
  • Draft Inventory and Appraisals, Accountings and other necessary documents for review by Probate Examiner and submission to Probate Courts
  • Communicate with clients on a regular basis throughout the representation with updates
  • Assist attorneys in preparing cases for hearings.
  • Maintain case management database.
  • Daily accurate entry into the Case Management System with no more than 15% of total time allocated to administrative work.
Requirements:


  • 2+ years of experience working in a law firm is required, focus on probate and estate administration is preferred.
  • Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred.
  • Ability to reliably commute to the Murrieta, CA office required
  • A fundamental understanding of estate planning/administration concepts OR related experience is a bonus.
  • Possess strong multi-tasking and time management skills
  • Superb communication, organizational an interpersonal skills
  • Be a self-starter who is also detail oriented
  • Display a positive attitude
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases Be able to learn new software with ease
  • Have excellent spelling, typing and grammar skills
  • Ability to type between 40-50 words per minute
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrate a high degree of discretion, confidentiality and integrity in the handling of personal client information, including following the Rules of Professional Conduct
  • Exhibit a strong work ethic with high standards for quality and quantity of work


Compensation details: 23-25 Hourly Wage
