The Leasing Agent’s responsibilities may vary slightly based on location; however, strong communication skills and a personable demeanor are key factors to success. The ability to multi-task and be adaptive to changing responsibilities while maintaining a positive attitude are also crucial.
Responsibilities
- Complies with local and federal Fair Housing Standards
- Touring prospects and leasing apartments
- Responsible for updating resident databases
- Process applications
- Responds to residents’ inquiries
- Conducts inspections of vacant apartments
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in sales and customer service, previous leasing experience required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
- Yardi experience preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Approachable and friendly demeanor
- Strong time management, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Must be able to work with all levels of employees
Compensation
- Hourly Rate Range for this position: $ 18.65 - $23.00
- Leasing Commissions
- Up to 8% Annual Property Management Bonus
