In our continued mission to deliver the best value, experience and opportunity for our communities, stakeholders and partners using customer insights and experience, we are seeking a Lease Review Specialist who will be responsible for reviewing all lease data and clause abstraction for permanent retail leases. This position will report directly to the Lease Accounting Manager with geographic flexibility to work remotely offered by Tanger’s hub-and-spoke approach to a modern Teams-driven workplace.

About the Role:

As the Lease Review Specialist, you will provide guidance and support to the lease abstraction team (NTrust) and contribute to the continuing evaluation of best practices and processes in the clause abstraction and review process.

How you will contribute to what we do:

Document Review:

• Review lease documents (leases/licenses/modifications/terminations) to ensure clause abstraction has captured abbreviated, edited, and comprehendible versions of the original document.
• Review “Matrix” or data elements of the lease clauses to ensure data is accurately reflected.
• Effectively communicate process updates and/or corrections to abstraction team
• Confirm that economics and other provisions in the document reflect the executed document.
• Maintain up-to-date process documentation relating to lease clauses.
• Assists in special projects and/or performs other duties as assigned.
  
  

Administrative:

• Digital filing of lease paperwork
• Process monthly invoices
• Adhoc projects – data entry and analysis
• Department support
  
  

About You:

• You have a high school diploma and two (2) plus years of experience in auditing, abstracting, editing or drafting legal documents. A bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate and commercial landlord-tenant experience is preferred.
• You have experience with MRI or other comparable software.
• You possess superior reading comprehension and editing skills.
• Your attention to detail is exceptional.
• You have experience handling multiple projects, prioritizing workflow, and ability to meet deadlines, problem solve and work independently as well as in a team.
• You can work independently in a fast-paced environment

Hiring Range Disclaimer

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Tanger's total compensation package for employees.

Hiring Range: $59,400 - $90,750 per year
