Description

Position Summary:

The Learning and Development (L&D) Specialist plays a vital role in equipping employees with the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to succeed in their roles. This position is responsible for delivering engaging training sessions, developing instructional materials, evaluating learner progress, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

The ideal candidate is a proactive communicator, a collaborative team player, and a passionate advocate for learning and growth. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, instructional design capabilities, and a commitment to fostering a culture of development and excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate engaging and interactive training sessions (in-person and virtual) tailored to specific business roles and learner needs.
  • Build strong rapport with team members and cross-functional partners by fostering open communication, collaboration, and trust.
  • Identify learner needs and skill gaps, offering personalized support and coaching to drive performance improvement.
  • Organize and maintain training materials, including manuals, presentations, job aids, and assessments.
  • Schedule and coordinate training sessions, ensuring alignment with business priorities and learner availability.
  • Champion a culture of continuous learning, encouraging feedback, curiosity, and professional development.
  • Stay connected to evolving business needs, adapting training strategies and content accordingly.
  • Participate in projects and task assignments, prioritizing effectively to meet deadlines and maintain high-quality deliverables.
  • Maintain open communication with supervisors for guidance, support, and feedback.

Requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in training facilitation, instructional design, or adult learning.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to evaluate learner performance and provide constructive feedback.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel); experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) is a plus.
  • Adaptability to ever-changing business needs and learner profiles.
  • Strong sense of professionalism, accountability, and collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field.
  • Experience in a corporate training or L&D environment.
  • Familiarity with eLearning tools and virtual training platforms (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Articulate, etc.).
