Summary

The LEAP intern will work closely with Leap Coordinator and Industrial Engineers to support lean/improvement activity and apply visual communication to support manufacturing operations, training, and branding.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Visuals for 5S, safety, standard work
  • Product and marketing collateral
  • Branding and internal comms
  • Design signage for shop floor
  • Create training visuals, SOPs
  • Support marketing materials for plant
  • Maintain brand consistency
  • Manage design file library
  • Work with safety, HR, operations, marketing
  • Weekly design reviews
  • Receive and apply feedback
  • Works under general supervision with a certain degree of creativity and latitude, as required.
  • Responsible for complying with the rules and regulations set forth by Federal, Local, and State government, LISI Aerospace, and HSE Procedures.
  • Responsibility for complying with ISO 14001 standards, aspects, directives and impact as related to the HSE policy commitments.
  • Responsible for attending all training provided and for adhering to all HSE procedures, policies, and plans, conforming to reporting requirements and safe operating procedures at all times.
  • Required to identify and alert any known or suspected nonconformance for all company procedures or legal requirements to management’s attention immediately.
  • Continually seek opportunities to improve our HSE performance by establishing objectives and targets, measuring progress, and reporting our results.
  • Implements and suggests waste elimination initiatives specifically related to the function and department such as EMS and recycling opportunities to elimination of production waste
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Education And/or Experience

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Enrolled and actively pursuing bachelor’s degree in relative field of study.
  • Working knowledge of relevant engineering applications
  • Proficiency in computer skills necessary for the job function

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract concrete variables.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Powerpoint, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva or Figma preferred.
