The Lead Service Engineer represents the quality of all HMH products, providing technical assistance to clients and perform/oversee field installations and repairs.
Job Requirements
- Demonstrate commitment to HSE and ensure that other workers adhere to the requirements of the same.
- Utilize and operate state-of-the-art automated drilling equipment.
- Install and service systems and equipment, as well as other third party-owned equipment on drilling rigs, on location.
- Apply technical knowledge of equipment and technologies to ensure optimal performance of the drilling equipment by determining preventative measure to reduce inefficiencies and field mishaps
- Provide training to new customers, employees and rig crews on safety procedures, safe operation, installation, and repair of new or existing equipment in order to minimize hazards and accidents.
- Resolve electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical problems by utilizing troubleshooting and repair processes and procedures and developing best practices to positively impact drilling performance.
- Interpret engineering drawings and hydraulic schematics in support of processes and procedures for equipment installations.
- Manage customer relationships to boost customer retention and satisfaction.
- Performs additional related duties as assigned.
- Previous experience as a Field Service Technician or equivalent.
- Relevant trade certificate and or 5-10 years maintenance/Service background in similar capacity with a good safety record.
- Demonstrates safety leadership qualities.
- Good communication is adhered too with all personnel.
- Personally demonstrate a commitment to safety and protection of the environment and is responsible for all waste management.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with other supervisors through interaction and participation in meetings.
- Must represent the company in a professional manner both on and off the job to include confidentiality of company and client business.
- Must have the ability to work independently or with less supervision.
- Ability to travel long distances.
- Needs to possess excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Must have good customer service skills.
- Ability to maintain good relations with customers.
- Should have excellent verbal communication skills.
- Must have the ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to manage service calls.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis, now or in the future, without employer sponsorship for employment visa status.
