KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER – Dental Supply

Key Responsibilities

Drive Sales Growth

  • Proactively grow revenue within your assigned customer base through field visits, email outreach, and timely follow-up on inbound inquiries.

Understand Customer Needs

  • Employ a consultative sales approach to uncover customer challenges and deliver tailored solutions leveraging our best-in-class product portfolio.

Become a Trusted Expert

  • Commit to continuous learning to maintain deep product and industry knowledge, positioning yourself as a valued advisor to customers.

Meet and Exceed Targets

  • Consistently surpass quarterly and annual gross profit goals, meet daily KPIs, and contribute to overall territory performance.

Work Independently

  • Manage your territory autonomously with strong self-motivation and effective time management in a largely independent work environment.

Maximize Tools & Systems

  • Utilize ERP and HubSpot CRM platforms to efficiently manage accounts, track customer engagement, and route sales opportunities.

Build Meaningful Relationships

  • Identify and engage key decision-makers at each customer site, maintaining regular contact and providing ongoing support.

Lead with Integrity

  • Conduct all customer interactions with professionalism and transparency, recommending solutions that genuinely meet their needs.

Collaborate Cross-Functionally

  • Partner with internal teams and external vendors to coordinate product demos, deepen engagement, and support territory growth initiatives.

Focus on Core Accounts

  • Allocate 90–95% of your time to nurturing existing customers, reserving 5–10% for strategic outreach to prospective accounts.

Requirements & Skills

Proven Sales Success

  • Demonstrated ability to exceed sales targets, preferably within dental, medical, or related B2B industries.

Strong Communication

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, comfortable delivering compelling presentations and engaging with diverse audiences.

Resilience & Tenacity

  • Ability to handle rejection positively while maintaining energy and focus in a goal-oriented sales environment.

Organizational Excellence

  • Highly organized, capable of managing 35–50 daily customer interactions across a territory of 500–750 accounts.

Target Execution

  • Maintain a minimum 70% contact rate with key accounts each quarter and grow average order size by 5% or more annually.

Territory Management

  • Strategically plan and execute territory activities to maximize customer engagement, sales conversions, and long-term growth.

Tech-Savvy

  • Proficient in CRM (HubSpot) and ERP systems to track opportunities, document activities, and keep customer records current.

Accurate Documentation

  • Maintain detailed call notes and contact data to ensure organizational visibility and knowledge sharing.

Lifelong Learner

  • Participate in ongoing product training and collaborate with vendor representatives to stay updated on new offerings and technologies.

Team-Oriented

  • A collaborative mindset, working effectively with Customer Care, Product, Marketing teams, and vendor partners.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; candidates with significant relevant professional experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
