Job Description

HII Mission Technologies is seeking a Jr Systems Administrator to support the Joint Training Synthetic Environment (JTSE) Joint Staff J7(JS J-7) contract onsite at our Suffolk, VA Joint Staff Complex.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators.
• Monitor, maintain, and support servers, workstations, and network devices.
• Install and configure operating systems and application software on servers and GFE.
• Provide technical support to end users for hardware, software, and networking issues.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and group policies in Active Directory.
• Apply software patches and perform regular system updates.
• Assist with system backups and disaster recovery testing.
• Maintain documentation for systems, processes, and procedures.
• Collaborate with other IT team members on projects and upgrades.
• Escalate complex issues to senior administrators as needed.
• Maintain security and privacy of the information systems.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• 0 years experience with Bachelors in related field or a High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience.
• Must have hands-on experience with server administration (Windows/Linux).
• Must have an active CompTIA Security+ certification, or be willing to obtain within 90 days of employment.
• An active Secret security clearance is required.
