What We're Looking For: Jr. Service Technician

Are you ready to kickstart your career in the world of IT and support a leading heavy equipment manufacturer? We're on the lookout for a Jr. Service Technician to join our team in Lafayette! If you have a knack for troubleshooting office printers (both big and small) and a sprinkle of networking skills, we want to hear from you!

The Details:

  • Location: Lafayette, IN 47905
  • Pay: $17/h
  • Shift: full time, Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm EST

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Keep Things Running Smoothly: Manage the routine maintenance of our clients' equipment and infrastructure at different sites in Lafayette.
  • Document Everything: Maintain detailed records and documents of equipment, including repair history.
  • Be the Communication Guru: Effectively communicate with clients and colleagues about equipment and repairs.
  • Drive Safely: Commute safely from job to job by avoiding distractions, adhering to speed limits, and driving responsibly.
  • Coordinate Like a Pro: Handle printer resources, equipment, and information.
  • Meet Client Needs: Ensure that clients' needs are met as projects evolve.
  • Solve Problems: Resolve technical issues when possible and escalate to appropriate support teams when necessary.
  • Stay on Top of Things: Ensure timely and accurate resolution of all service desk issues.
  • Monitor and Manage: Keep an eye on device communication and handle any issues that arise.
  • Meet Standards: Ensure standards and requirements are met.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience: 6 months+ in a technical support role
  • Skills: Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users.
  • Team Player: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Multi-Tasking Maven: Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize workload effectively.
