The Opportunity

A well-maintained IT environment is critical to enable the DOD to communicate effectively and achieve their missions, but how can an organization make sure their IT environment will fit their current and evolving needs? Crafting the right network, with the right equipment and software, requires a combination of technical skill and careful planning. That’s why we need you, an IT Specialist who knows how to develop and maintain the exact systems the DoD needs.

As an IT Specialist on our team, you will perform Tier one and two network, systems, and phone support, providing administration of network and communications systems including routers, switches, VTCs, phones, laptops and other systems. Solid technical skills are essential to ensure continuous system operation, therefore, and IT Specialists on our team need to have experience in a variety of network protocols, software, and hardware involved in IT operations. As an IT Specialist on our team, you will utilize your strong troubleshooting, analytic and diagnostic skills, along with good communication abilities and providing full lifecycle support of LAN and WAN infrastructures.

Your comprehensive knowledge of Government hardware, software, and network components will be invaluable when you prepare necessary activity and progress reports for the Government regarding IT systems performance initiatives.

You Have

  • Experience providing customer service support as a Tier 1 level IT Helpdesk Specialist
  • Experience scheduling and troubleshooting VTC equipment
  • Knowledge of Government hardware, software, and network components
  • Ability to plan, design, engineer, configure, operate, maintain, defend, troubleshoot, and repair IT infrastructures, including necessary additions and changes to associated routers, switches, and external government and commercial provider circuits and encryption devices
  • Ability to work shift work on an as-needed basis
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in STEM field and 3+ years IT experience or HS diploma or GED and 7+ years of experience in IT
  • IAT Level II compliant certification
  • CCNA Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
