We are seeking a dedicated and experienced IT Site Operations Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in managing and supporting IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations across various platforms and technologies. Analyzes business needs and contributes to the selection of IT hardware and software to support internal business processes. Ensure the availability and the effectiveness of the IT solutions, meeting, or exceeding business needs.

This role involves resolving technical issues through Jira, managing Microsoft 365, handling networking tasks (preferably with Cisco Meraki), troubleshooting Windows laptops and desktops, deploying new machines, managing Windows servers, and distributing company cell phones.

Key Responsibilities:

  • On-site business strategy, planning, and implementation:
  • Maintains detailed documentation of methodologies, processes, and specifications of an organizations IT systems and assists with the planning and scheduling of IT initiatives.
  • Collaborates with end users to diagnose and resolve technical issues across different systems and technologies, including hardware, software and networks.
  • Implements basic security measures to protect systems, networks, and data and ensures backup strategies and recovery plans are up to date.
  • Work at a strategic level collaborating with IT Leadership and business leaders to define technology roadmaps.
  • Issue Resolution in Jira:
  • Manage and resolve IT issues logged in Jira, ensuring timely responses and resolutions.
  • Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions for future reference.
  • Collaborate with other teams to address complex technical challenges.
  • Microsoft 365 Management:
  • Administer Microsoft 365 services, including user account management, license allocation, and security settings.
  • Support and troubleshoot issues related to Microsoft Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint, and other Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Implement best practices for data security and compliance within Microsoft 365.
  • Networking:
  • Configure, manage, and troubleshoot network devices, with a focus on Cisco Meraki switches, firewalls, and access points.
  • Ensure network reliability, security, and performance optimization.
  • Support remote access solutions, including VPN configurations.
  • Troubleshooting Windows Laptops and Desktops:
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues on Windows devices.
  • Provide end-user support, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Maintain an inventory of hardware and software assets.
  • Machine Deployment:
  • Prepare and deploy Windows laptops and desktops with necessary software and security configurations.
  • Manage and update deployment images for consistent and efficient setups.
  • Windows Server Management:
  • Administer Windows servers, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and file/print services.
  • Monitor server health and performance, implementing preventive maintenance as needed.
  • Ensure regular backups and disaster recovery readiness.
  • Cell Phone Distribution and Management:
  • Oversee the distribution of company cell phones to employees, ensuring proper configuration and usage.
  • Manage inventory and assist with troubleshooting mobile device issues.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies regarding mobile device usage.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or 4-7 years equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in IT support, systems administration, and networking.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Proficiency with networking, preferably with Cisco Meraki products.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows operating systems and hardware.
  • Skilled with managing and resolving issues in Jira or similar (ticketing system)
  • Experience with Windows Server administration.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • IT Security knowledge a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Cisco CCNA, or equivalent.
  • Experience with ITIL practices and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with mobile device management (MDM) solutions.

Annual pay for this position is $118,658.
