IT Intern - Business Intelligence

Jacksons is accepting applications for a part-time (15-25 hours per week), onsite, IT Business Intelligence Intern.

Our Experience Internships offer students the opportunity to tackle projects and to make a real impact on departmental and corporate objectives as they prepare to start their career journey. Jacksons internships usually start in Mid May and run through mid-August and can be part-time or full-time.

We are looking for ambitious students who are currently enrolled at an accredited, four-year college/university or who are recent grads. Our goal is to create a thoughtful program to challenge our interns and help them grow and develop as professionals.

Must be available during peak reporting times, such as Monday afternoons until 6:00 p.m. & all day Tuesdays.

What will I do as a Business Intelligence Intern?

Jacksons Business Intelligence team builds reports and data infrastructure for the future and maintain current weekly reporting. During this process, we need to convert existing Power BI reports to a new design. Assist with data validation to ensure existing reports have high quality standards. The Intern will assist in the delivery of company goals and assist in validating data so that data quality is as high as possible.

You will be a great fit for this internship if you have:

• Be at least a sophomore year by the start of the internship.
• Currently enrolled at an accredited college/university and you are seeking a degree related to this internship.
• Experience with Excel and MS Office.
• Basic knowledge of SQL, programming languages (VBA preferred). Training will be provided as appropriate.
• Experience on PowerBI platform is a plus, training will be provided as appropriate.
• Basic accounting and math skills.
• General computers skills to use and navigate various software required.
• Experience in or willing to learn about business data analytics.
• Effective communication and a level of comfort sharing information with various levels of the organization.
• A positive “can do” attitude to meet the needs of the business.
