The Opportunity

Sephora Internships provide an inclusive and comprehensive experience that equips young professionals with the tools needed to align their passions with work. The 10-week internship program develops early career professionals by providing interns with hands-on learning, personal and professional networking opportunities, and the ability to work on projects that directly impact the business.

The Sephora internship program is also a prerequisite for consideration for LEAP, the cross-functional rotational program that provides on-the-job training in each of three Business Units-Supply Chain, Marketing, and Merchandising, over the course of nine months. LEAP prepares successfully performing trainees for a full-time, entry-level role in one of the three Business Units. Interns are invited to apply to LEAP at the beginning of the summer internship.

Program Details

An inclusive and engaging experience that develops technical and professional skills through weekly virtual workshops, networking opportunities, and career panels that provide exposure to Sephora’s career growth opportunities.

2025 Program Dates

  • June 2 - August 15, 2025
  • Working hours: 36hrs/week. Monday – Friday, PST
  • June 16 – 19: On-Site Week in San Francisco at headquarters office
  • June 30 – July 4: Week off for vacation

Intern, Social Video

Your Role at Sephora...

SEPHORA is looking for an innovative, trend-savvy intern to join the Social Video team! You’ll become one of the creative forces behind our engaging and humorous content, especially on YouTube, Instagram and TikTok. Collaborating closely with our Social teams, you'll analyze performance metrics to refine our content strategy, ensuring it aligns with our brand voice. With your keen eye for trending social videos and knack for repurposing content, you'll keep us ahead of the curve, fostering community engagement and staying true to our brand ethos in the fast-paced world of social media. This role is focused on concepting ideas for our other production tracks to produce. Proven experience in social content strategy and growing emerging platforms is required.

Responsibilities

  • Ideate engaging, entertaining content for our social channels that incorporate brand messaging while staying true to the SEPHORA voice (strong emphasis on TikTok)
  • Work closely with Social teams to assess content performance and shift strategy based on those findings
  • Support with concepting and writing social copy like overlay text/captions as needed
  • Source trending sounds for both IG Reels and TikTok
  • Check that sounds and concepts comply with company legal/IP rules
  • Stay on top of and provide social trend forecasting across multiple teams
  • Source/figure out ways to repurpose past social content to work with current social trends
  • Have an eye out for talent trending on social – how can we engage and create community?

Requirements

  • Passion for social media and content – active in engaging with beauty, fashion, retail and/or lifestyle social content!
  • Keen eye for trending content
  • Experience in editing video content (CapCut/InShot - preferred)
  • Quick, witty creative mindset with a knack for ideation and thoughtful experimentation
  • Self-motivated demonstrating a high level of initiative and proven ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing appropriately
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and Smartsheet
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to pivot/adapt to changing priorities and reactive social needs

Eligibility Requirements

  • Graduating in 2025 or 2026 (undergraduate or graduate degree in Marketing, communications, Merchandising or Business_
  • Remote program – work schedule must align with Pacific Standard Time
  • Must permanently reside and work in the U.S.
  • Must be open to relocating to the San Francisco Bay Area upon graduation for consideration for full-time hybrid positions *
  • Available for the 1-week On-Site office experience in San Francisco, CA

The target hourly pay for this position is $23.00 - $23.00 per hour. The actual hourly pay offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the individual applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses. This job will be posted for a minimum of 5 days.
