Interior Design Staff - Entry Level (RCG)

Hoefer Welker is looking for talented and motivated Interior Design staff for entry level positions! The ideal person for this role will have an exceptional creative design portfolio and will collaborate with the team in all phases of project design with a focus on conceptual design, programming, space planning, documentation, and selection of materials and finishes. We are looking for someone who is skilled in the development stages of design, and is also concerned with impacting the whole space architecturally.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Assists senior designers with the development of design solutions
• Researches and selects colors/finishes/materials, performs site surveys, and maintains resource materials.
• Works under the direction of mid to senior-level interior designers.
• Researches interior products.
• Applies established interior design standards.
• Assists senior-level designers in the development of design solutions for review.
• Performs routine checking and/ or verification tasks.
• Researches and selects colors/finishes/ materials.
• Supports business development activities through assistance with aids such as finish boards or PowerPoint presentations.
• Performs site survey and documentation.
• Maintains resource materials

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in the field of Interior Architecture or Interior Design with AIA or NCIDQ certification or architectural registration preferred. 1-2 internships of relevant corporate interiors project experience is desired. A creative design portfolio is required.

Qualifications:

The proper candidate will have excellent verbal and written communications skills, teamwork, presentation and organizational skills. Maintains cooperative working relationships, internally and externally, and possesses entrepreneurial spirit and has forward thinking attitude. Proficiency in Revit software required. Adobe Suite (InDesign, Photoshop), Google Sketchup and 3D rendering are desired. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
