Staten Island Care Center is seeking a dedicated Interim RN Manager to assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our nursing unit. This role ensures high-quality resident care while supporting our nursing team in alignment with facility policies and regulatory guidelines.

About the Role:
Staten Island Care Center is seeking a dedicated Interim RN Manager to assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our nursing unit. This role ensures high-quality resident care while supporting our nursing team in alignment with facility policies and regulatory guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Unit Supervisor/Unit Manager in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing nursing unit functions.
- Ensure nursing staff adhere to their job descriptions and maintain high standards of care.
- Participate in facility surveys and inspections by government agencies as requested.
- Contribute to the development and periodic updating of residents’ written plans of care.
- Conduct routine rounds to monitor staff performance, reporting findings to the Unit Supervisor/Unit Manager.
- Address and report complaints or grievances filed by nursing personnel.
- Greet and orient newly admitted residents, escorting them to their rooms as needed.
- Make rounds with physicians and monitor medication administration and treatment schedules.
- Provide direct nursing care as required.
- Participate in developing preliminary and comprehensive nursing assessments for each resident.
- Assist in the evaluation of LPNs and CNAs, including annual performance reviews.
- Valid, unencumbered, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years RN experience in a nursing care facility or related healthcare setting.
- At least 6 months experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
