The role

We’re offering an exciting opportunity to join this world-class team as our Ingredient Quality Specialist- a pivotal new role as we continue to grow as one of the fastest-rising food and drink brands globally. You’ll take the lead on technical standards across our US raw materials, ensuring our ingredients meet Huel’s uncompromising standards. Based from home in the Salt Lake City area, you’ll travel across the US and Canada, partnering with our ingredient suppliers and co-manufacturing sites to bring our products to life

  • Compliance - own category ingredient specifications, driving compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements (Halal, Kosher, Vegan, non-GMO project and Gluten-Free). Be the go-to for US ingredient compliance to FDA, GRAS, retailer and US state specific requirements e.g. Prop 65.
  • Supplier Excellence - monitor and drive performance with key suppliers including conducting supplier audits, KPI reporting, tackling non-conformance investigations, and driving continuous improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Impact - Partner with NPD, Procurement, Technical and Planning to secure best-in-class sourcing and reduce category risk, championing ingredient safety and quality through strategic decision making.
  • Ingredient Quality - Define ingredient quality attribute standards for key ingredients and conduct ingredient quality sampling to uphold consistency across our manufacturing network.
  • Compliance Sampling - Develop testing protocols through ingredient risk assessment to improve compliance to relevant state specific requirements e.g. Prop 65 and FDA legislative tolerances
  • Reporting - present and share information to key stakeholders on US ingredient compliance and key projects through powerpoint and excel reports, completing impactful data analysis.

What we're looking for in you

We’re looking for a technically strong and detail-oriented professional with experience in the FMCG sector - ideally food, supplements, or beverages. You’ll have a solid understanding of Prop 65 and FDA requirements, with the ability to manage multiple technical projects effectively. Strong organisational, communication, and influencing skills are essential, as well as the flexibility to travel across the US and internationally when required. You’ll be self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working independently, with a positive attitude and the confidence to collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing partners. To be considered, you’ll need to be based in the Salt Lake City area.

And as always, we’re on the lookout for new Hueligans who love a fast-paced environment and are always striving to be their best. We want people who aren’t afraid to think differently and push boundaries. If you’re all about setting big goals and believe that amazing things happen through creativity and teamwork, you’ll fit right in at Huel!
