WHKS is seeking an Information Technology (IT) Manager to lead the IT team by providing strategic vision for our technology and ensuring that technology aligns with our company goals. This role includes overseeing the company’s technology infrastructure, risk management strategy, regulation compliance, and administration of IT policies and procedures. The IT Manager will work with IT personnel to provide technical assistance to all staff members on hardware and software issues and support the activities of computer operations at the corporate office and all branch offices.

Responsibilities Include

  • Work with leaders to define the overall technology strategy, which may involve setting long-term goals, identifying emerging, innovative technologies, and ensuring that the company’s technological infrastructure supports its business objectives.
  • Oversee the company’s technology infrastructure, including hardware, software, and network systems, to maintain system reliability, scalability, and secur
  • Develop, implement, and maintain cybersecurity and risk management procedures that protect against data breaches, hacking attempts, and other security risks, including evaluating technologies related to data privacy, security vulnerabilities, and disaster recovery.
  • Maintain compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards related to technology, including but not limited to data protection laws, software licensing agreements, and technology-related contracts.
  • Work with engineering staff and management to evaluate current technologies for all services and make recommendations for upgrades and changes to improve operational efficiency and gain strategic business advantage.
  • Lead and manage the technology team by fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and work collaboratively to drive company-wide technological initiatives that align with overall business goals.
  • Oversee the creation and distribution of annual, quarterly, and monthly IT reports.
  • Administer and maintain all IT records, policies, procedures, training manuals, and training programs.
  • Prepare and maintain IT budget based on company needs including researching, recommending, and monitoring expenses across all IT services.
  • Answer IT system users’ questions and troubleshoot computer, network, printer, email, internet, modem, and software problems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis on Information Systems or Information Technology.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior IT leadership role, preferably within the Engineering or Architecture fields.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Be available to travel to branch offices as needed to set-up, evaluate or troubleshoot IT systems. Less than 10% Travel is anticipated.
  • Ability to access and work in varied environments, including confined and restricted spaces.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) are required.
  • Must be able to manage workload independently.
  • Must maintain a professional attitude and foster positive working environments.
