About the Role: We are looking for an Industrial Engineer to join the Biosciences Operations Team. In this role you will be responsible for creating and refining processes that integrate people, systems, and information in support of regulated nonclinical research. As a member of the Operations Team, you will partner with other Biosciences Associates in a variety of roles and with our internal customers including scientists, engineers, technicians, operations, planning, quality assurance, finance, health and safety, and maintenance to support business objectives. You will also collaborate with other industrial engineers across the organization to share best practices and establish IE functional excellence.
This role will be located at our facility in Flagstaff, Arizona.

This role will be located at our facility in Flagstaff, Arizona.
Responsibilities:
- Apply industrial engineering fundamentals to improve processes and solve problems in a structured and pragmatic manner
- Partner with associates across Biosciences to define key performance metrics and create systems for monitoring performance
- Apply Lean principles to design, improve, and/or enhance business and quality system processes
- Partner with associates across Biosciences to identify opportunities to improve or enhance processes and capabilities, while coaching other associates on Lean methodology
- Improve quantitative decision making through use of data analytics and simulation modeling
- Support capacity planning and scheduling processes through data collection, capacity modeling, and analyzing and prioritizing improvements
- Lead cross functional projects to successful completion utilizing project management skillset
- Provide subject matter expertise and process ownership where needed
- Understand and adhere to nonclinical regulatory requirements and industry best practices during process improvement and problem-solving efforts
- Maintain compliance with training expectations as required for this position
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Systems Engineering or a related field
- Demonstrated expertise in data analysis and visualization
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Hands-on, creative problem solver with the ability to think critically and strategically
- Demonstrated ability to effectively influence individuals and teams without direct organizational authority
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
- Six Sigma training or similar Lean principle based certification
- Experience working in a Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) or another regulated environment
- Experience or knowledge in the utilization and integration of software (e.g., Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps etc.) in creating or enhancing process improvements
