Primary Function
The HR Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department. This role supports a variety of HR functions, including employee records management, benefits administration, systems updates, leave coordination, and compliance tracking. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and committed to delivering exceptional internal customer service. This position requires the ability to manage sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.

Duties & Responsibilities
Employee may be called upon to perform any or all of the following functions:
- Provide administrative support to the Human Resources department and deliver excellent customer service by responding to employee inquiries and requests.
- Support the implementation and administration of various human resources plans, procedures, and initiatives for all company employees.
- Maintain accurate and confidential physical and digital employee records, including employment contracts, PTO requests, and other personnel documentation, in compliance with company policies.
- Update internal databases with employee data throughout the employee lifecycle, including new hires, terminations, promotions, and compensation changes.
- Assist new hires with first-day paperwork, and review benefits information to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
- Complete employment and wage verification requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Respond to unemployment claims notices and provide necessary documentation as required.
- Assist with administering company benefit plans, including processing new hire enrollments, answering employee benefit-related questions, supporting claim resolution, and helping with required reporting
- Maintain the confidentiality and integrity of all employee information in alignment with legal and company standards.
- Assist with ensuring HR processes comply with SOX requirements and support internal and external audit activities by maintaining accurate documentation and following established control procedures.
- Assist employees with leave of absence requests and support the administration of FMLA, ADA, and other applicable federal, state and local laws, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Two years of admin experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities to research employee questions related to company policies, procedures, and plans; able to identify when to escalate issues appropriately.
- Strong attention to detail with a proven track record of accuracy in final work products
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel (highly proficient with pivot tables and VLOOKUP), PowerPoint, Outlook, and common word processing, spreadsheet, and e-mail software.
- Experience with HRIS systems and data entry.
- Knowledge of HR practices, benefits administration, and employment laws such as FMLA and ADA.
- Experience supporting SOX compliance and audits is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and adapt quickly to shifting demands.
- High level of discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Proactive and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Solid commitment to safety and dedication to the company’s core values.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- This position requires minimal physical effort.
- Must be able to endure prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer for a minimum of 8 hours a day
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will primarily work indoors, with occasional outdoor exposure to year around weather conditions and noise.
- Must be able and willing to travel overnight for trainings and/or meetings as required (10%)
- Working extended hours, including weekends, may be required periodically.
- May occasionally lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
