Job Summary

Human Resources Assistant Health Sciences High and Middle College is a grades 9-12 Charter High School in City Heights, San Diego. Job Purpose: Support the Human Resources department by assisting in a variety of administrative, clerical, and organizational tasks. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of HR processes and administrative procedures, excellent interpersonal skills, and a proactive approach to ensuring smooth HR operations. Education-Based Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Human Resources or related work. • CPR Certification (preferred but not required). Knowledge, Skills, Ability: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Other functions of the job include, but are not limited to the following: • Demonstrate professionalism and a proactive approach in all interactions with staff and stakeholders. • Actively engage in professional development opportunities to stay updated on HR trends and practices. • Support organizational activities and events, such as employee recognition programs or team-building initiatives. Working Conditions (Physical Requirements and Environment): Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, operate a computer, hand-held learning devices and other office equipment, reach with hands and arms, and must occasionally lift and/or move items.
