We are hiring an Entry-Level HR Support Specialist who is organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn. This role is ideal for someone with administrative or data-entry experience who wants to grow a career in Human Resources.

Position Summary

The HR Support Specialist provides day-to-day administrative support to the Human Resources department. This position focuses on data entry, document maintenance, new hire processing, and employee support tasks. Working closely with the HR Manager, the specialist ensures accurate records, smooth onboarding processes, and timely communication with employees and applicants.

This role requires professionalism, confidentiality, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Primary Responsibilities

Data Entry Support

  • Enter employee data into ADP Workforce Now, including updates, changes, terminations, and document uploads.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential digital employee files.
  • Assist with basic benefits-related tasks as assigned.
  • Work with the Onboarding Specialist to support new hire data input and processing.

Employee & Candidate Support

  • Respond to phone calls, HR inbox messages, and verification of employment (VOE) requests.
  • Provide helpful, friendly, and timely support to employees and applicants.
  • Assist with new hire paperwork and onboarding communication.

Administrative Support

  • Perform general administrative duties using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and applicant tracking systems (ATS).
  • Assist payroll with documentation and file management as needed.
  • Organize and maintain HR documents and department files.
  • Troubleshoot minor issues and collaborate with HR team members on solutions.
  • Support special projects and additional HR tasks when needed.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
  • Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

Education & Experience

  • 2–4 years of office or administrative experience with strong data entry skills OR recent college graduate with HR-related coursework.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred but not mandatory.
  • No previous HR experience required.
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered.
