Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Create and maintain effective and productive partnerships across departments, acting as a strategic partner to both employees and leadership.Serve as a trusted partner and point of contact for team members across all locations on HR-related matters.
- Employee Lifecycle: Support onboarding, offboarding, internal transitions, and day-to-day employee needs with consistency and care.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws—including in California, Texas, and Illinois—while upholding company standards. Refine and maintain company policies, employee handbooks, and internal HR documentation. Maintain accurate records in our HRIS and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Employee Relations & Guidance: Provide guidance and support in employee relations, performance conversations, and conflict resolution.
- HR System: Act as the subject matter expert for our HR system—understanding how it interacts with the employee lifecycle, internal processes, and policies—and support the Payroll Team on any system or policy-related escalations.
- Manager Education: Influence and administer manager training related to employee relations, HR policies, and HR systems to elevate team-wide knowledge and compliance.
- Policy & Practice Guidance: Support employees on a day-to-day basis and answer questions about policies, benefits, procedures, and company culture.
- Benefits: Lead and manage benefits programs, open enrollment, and ongoing employee education around offerings. Contribute to compensation strategies through benchmarking, pay equity review, and internal alignment.
- Compensation: Oversee compensation processes including benchmarking, salary reviews, and day-to-day compensation related administration.
- Onboarding: Assist with key components of onboarding and orientation to ensure a seamless, welcoming experience for new hires.
- People Team Projects: Stay connected to evolving departmental needs and assist with ongoing or ad-hoc People Team initiatives as needed. Contribute to the growth of scalable HR infrastructure as we expand into new markets.

Requirements
Qualifications
- 5+ years of HR Generalist experience, ideally in a multi-location or hospitality/service environment.
- Strong working knowledge of employment law and HR compliance, especially across CA, TX, and IL.
- Demonstrated experience managing benefits and compensation processes.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and documentation best practices.
- Impeccable organizational and interpersonal skills.
- A calm, professional demeanor with high EQ.
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification is a plus.
