HR Assistant

CoventBridge is seeking an experienced HR Assistantin the Jacksonville area to join our HR & Legal team. This position will work out of our Jacksonville office.

The HR Assistant is responsible for various aspects of new hire and termination administration, upkeep and management of employee files, miscellaneous reporting as it relates to human resource functions and miscellaneous tasks as assigned. This position will report directly to the company's VP of HR.Â

Duties and responsibilities include essential functions of positions assigned to this classification. Depending on assignment, the employee may perform a combination of some or all the following duties:

• Assist all new hires coming through the onboarding process and communicate any issues with recruiters, trainers and managers, as necessary
• Complete and review pre-employment criteria including background checks, drug screens and reference verifications
• Create physical new employee files
• Process all terminations and file appropriate paperwork
• Complete exit interviews
• Run annual background check and MVR reports
• Complete employment verifications requests

• Intermediate level ability in Word and Excel
• Strong customer service skills
• Solid attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Highest level of integrity
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to follow direction with minimal supervision
• Team player
  
  

Educational/Experience Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Associates or bachelors degree preferred
• 1-2 years previous experience in an HR related role
