We are seeking a Tier 1 Helpdesk Technician to join a Government IT Contractor to provide first-line technical support to end-users. Responsibilities include answering support tickets, troubleshooting hardware/software issues, assisting with password resets, and escalating complex problems to higher-tier support. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, basic knowledge of Windows/Mac OS, and familiarity with common IT systems and tools.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, ITIL) are a plus
1+ years of experience in a technical support or helpdesk role preferred
Basic understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and networking
Proficiency with Windows and/or Mac operating systems
Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Active Directory, and ticketing systems
Strong problem-solving and customer service skills
Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users
Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
