Experience Requirements
- Experience in transformation, operational leadership, and/or private equity
- Excellent strategic problem-solving skillset from a top-tier strategy consulting background
- Comfort up and down a P&L, with the ability to turn financial data into operational initiatives
- Operational change-making in supply chain, manufacturing, industrial products, and technology
- Operations Experience. You bring depth to value capture through your operational expertise. You are comfortable working on a set of initiatives that cover all relevant levers of the P&L and the Balance Sheet, incl. pricing, salesforce effectiveness, supply chain improvement, Opex reduction, cash management, etc.
- Strategic creativity and leadership. Ability to strategically assess current operating model, identify and analyze strategic options, and articulate a path forward
- Prioritization Skills. Knowing where to deploy resources is essential. You are relentless in assessing and reassessing where to invest both your own energy and that of the organization. You understand the difference between creating vs. reporting value—and quickly get in a posture of spending most of your time on value creation while routinizing reporting.
- Financial Expertise. You can connect a transformation program—and each of its supporting initiatives—to value creation (as reflected in actual financials). You speak the language of finance and have the analytical skills to engage the CFO and the private equity partner at the level of the financial model.
- Ability to Go Deep. When an initiative is not tracking to its expected timeline or value potential, you can get to the root cause. You uncover hidden problems and know how to assess a situation, distill facts, and most importantly to build an action plan via the toolkit you’ve developed throughout your career.
- Resilience & Persistence. Any large-scale change program will be full of surprises, and you know that your tone and disposition are every bit as important as the intellect and problem-solving skills you bring to the table. You have a tolerance for turbulence and lead with resilience, serving as a role model for how you expect others in the organization to push through the setbacks intrinsic to any transformation. You are persistent about staying in sync with the organization’s leaders on the transformation program’s purpose, targets, and approaches.
