We are now seeking a hands-on leader to define, coordinate, and scale our digital services strategy—building a clear plan and roadmap that integrates across disciplines, geographies, and markets to accelerate our growth.

Essential Responsibilities & Duties

As Head of Digital Strategy & Solutions, you will:

  • Define and drive GEI’s digital solutions strategy, focus on external market trends and clients while supporting the adoption of new tools and technologies for internal use, identifying market opportunities (e.g. digital twins, asset management, geospatial platforms, SaaS, etc…) aligned to our core markets of water, energy and infrastructure.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to the executive team, translating digital capabilities into client growth, competitive differentiation, and operational excellence.
  • Lead and develop a cross-functional technical team, setting vision, recruiting talent, fostering innovation, and ensuring delivery and adoption of digital tools and services.
  • Develop an actionable digital roadmap, from concept to deployment: prioritize initiatives, build business cases, manage change, and scale digital transformation.
  • Own the P&L and budget of digital services, establishing ROI frameworks, performance metrics, and resource allocation.
  • Represent GEI as a thought leader externally: speak at industry events, author whitepapers, engage clients in digital advisory, and elevate the firm’s digital brand.
  • Partner with IT leadership, to align digital innovation with enterprise technology infrastructure, share data and platforms, and coordinate on cybersecurity and governance. Ensure that digital initiatives are both innovative and technically sound.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 20+ years of experience in AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) industry, ideally focused in the water, energy and infrastructure sectors.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing and growing technical teams—across digital, engineering, data, or technology disciplines.
  • Proven track record designing and delivering digital transformation strategies—including digital twins, AI/ML models, GIS, and enterprise data systems,
  • Strong strategic and commercial acumen, capable of linking technology to tangible growth and business value.
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with experience engaging at the executive level and with clients.
  • Comfortable with remote leadership, distributed teams, and flexible working across time zones.
  • Master’s or advanced degree in engineering, technology, business, or related fields is strongly preferred.
