Position Summary
Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, the Harvest Supervisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of our Ag Operations Mission. This role encompasses the supervision, leadership, training, operational expertise, and oversight of field activities to deliver high-quality raw materials in a safe and efficient manner while consistently meeting customer expectations.

Position Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and supervise Field Personnel during daily operations, including planting, pre-harvest, topping, and harvesting, while emphasizing comprehensive training.
- Maintain regular communication with Harvest/Planting Field Personnel to discuss expectations, address challenges, coordinate schedules, and identify opportunities for improvement within the harvest group.
- Collaborate daily with Harvest/Planting management to align strategies, tackle challenges, optimize scheduling, and enhance the training program.
- Establish daily communication channels with Harvest/Planting Operations Management, Maintenance Personnel, Scheduling Coordinator, Seed Processing Manager, Truck Dispatchers, and Growers to coordinate harvest activities, equipment needs, employee scheduling, raw material quality, loading requirements, and yield targets.
- Take the lead in driving the Harvest/Planting safety program, ensuring that established safety objectives are met.
- Possess fundamental knowledge of farm equipment and demonstrate expertise in adjusting and operating all field equipment safely and efficiently.
- Manage administrative tasks, including handling time-off requests, per diem, disciplinary actions, timekeeping, and using the Ag Insight system.
- Actively support HR department initiatives aimed at enhancing engagement within the Harvest/Planting team.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in crop culture or crop harvesting, with a background in farm equipment operation or direct employee supervision.
- Valid State issued Driver’s License and good driving record is required.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong planning and supervision abilities.
- Proficiency in computer skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision.
- Capability to oversee a large, migrant harvest operation.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
- Willingness to travel extensively, work long hours, and maintain a flexible schedule to meet operational demands.
