General Manager - Business Services

Location: McKinney, Texas

Reports To: President

Position Overview

As the Director of Business Services at our newly formed Renewable Natural Gas company, you will be integral to shaping and managing business services strategies across the organization. You will oversee and have a hands-on approach to business services operations, including accounting, finance, human resources, certain lease management, insurance, procurement, expense and office management functions. The position requires strong leadership skills, a good understanding of accounting, financial functions, human resources HR and the ability to manage the development of processes and best practices in a variety of operational service areas. Importantly, this role will be a member of the senior management team and will help steer policy and strategy decisions for the company.

Key Responsibilities

Business Services Leadership:

  • Member of Senior Management Team: Reporting to the president the position will be responsible for participating in and contributing to the company’s strategic planning and decision process.
  • Department Management: Oversee the organization’s business services department, including managing a cross-functional team of technical and administrative staff to ensure departmental goals and objectives are met.
  • Compliance & Regulatory Adherence: Ensure compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements related to the HR program as well as financial functions including purchase order and credit card expense management systems.
  • Purchase Order and Credit Card Expense Management Systems:
    • Coordinate the development and implementation of PO and credit card expense systems to achieve financial control and operational performance.
    • Policies and procedures: Develop and enforce company policies and procedures to enhance financial controls and operational efficiency.
  • Office Management: Manage the operations of the head office environment including day-to-day and long-term needs.
  • Vendor Management:
    • Coordinate the development and implementation of Vendor Management Policies and Procedures: Develop and enforce office policies and procedures to enhance operational, EHS and financial controls.
  • Safety & Culture: Collaborate with operations and EH&S teams to foster and maintain a safety-oriented culture across the organization.
Human Resources Leadership

  • HR Department Management: Lead and oversee the HR department, managing all HR staff and ensuring alignment with company policy development, objectives, safety culture, and employee satisfaction goals.
  • HR Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement HR strategies and plans to support business growth, employee retention, and engagement.

General Responsibilities

  • Mentorship & Development: Act as a mentor to the finance, HR and business services staff, fostering professional development and ensuring alignment with the company’s core values and safety culture.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with various departments to drive business performance, improve financial management, and enhance employee experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources, or related field is preferred.

10+ years of experience in business services management and/or human resources leadership, with at least 5 years in a leadership
