ELANTAS North America is seeking a reliable General Laborer to support our Resins production in the St. Louis, MO chemical manufacturing plant. This position will be on a rotating shift schedule rotating every two weeks - 1st shift (6a-2:30p), 2nd shift (2p-10:30p) and 3rd shift (10p-6:30a).

Must be clean shaven and willing to wear respirator if necessary. Must be able to successfully complete a background check and marijuana pre-hire drug screen if offered the role.

  • Responsible for the weighing and processing of materials.
  • Meets or exceeds on time delivery of quality products and customer orders with customer satisfaction as a primary goal.
  • Provides quality workmanship in a safe and clean working environment.
  • Execute proper work procedures to weigh, transport, store, sample, and load any raw material.
  • Execute proper work procedures to transport, adjust, filter, sample, and package finished products or process by product.
  • Perform routine duties according to SOPs (Standard Operating procedures).
  • Must know and practice safety rules and regulations.
  • Work overtime as assigned.
  • Perform all assigned tasks in a timely manner.
  • Weigh out raw materials according to specific formulas.
  • Keep accurate records and reports.
  • Report any problems or situations to your supervisor.
  • Communicate and cooperate with the entire work crew to achieve company goals and standards.
  • Maintain good housekeeping in work area.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Manually load equipment and monitor equipment to ensure output of quality product.
  • Visually inspect, audit, and test completed products using SOPs to ensure quality or workmanship.
  • Complete various production related logs to record data and or/defective product.
  • Write tickets to route product to next phase of production.
  • Weigh and measure products to be shipped.
  • May use miscellaneous material handling equipment to move products.
  • May unload raw material by hand or forklift.
  • Assist the organization to create a safe and healthy working environment by working safely, using equipment provided and following instructions given for health and safety purposes and immediately reporting any unsafe working practices or hazardous working conditions.
  • Effectively work and communicate with other department personnel.
  • Promote a positive and respectful atmosphere.
  • Proof of H.S. diploma or G.E.D. equivalency required.
  • Exposure to operating or spotting around heavy equipment a plus.
  • Experience using hand tools such as pipe wrenches, screwdrivers, torque wrenches, air ratchets, etc.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude including ability to measure, test and operate material handling equipment.
  • Previous production related experience preferred.
  • Must be able to perform all tasks listed on the “ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS” page for Production Worker.
  • Willingness to take initiative.
  • Must be able to understand, hear, read and speak in English.
  • Must be willing to and able to tolerate wearing respirator (must be clean shaven) and all other PPE as required.
  • Must have a basic knowledge of arithmetic and mathematics.
  • Must be able to work well with people at all levels of the company.
  • Must have high attention to detail, especially with numbers.
  • Ability to demonstrate and foster safe working behavior in the team.
  • Ability to successfully pass background check inclusive of drug test and physical exam.
  • Able to work a rotating shift - rotate every two weeks - days-nights-afternoons
  • Manufacturing plant environment, indoors and/or outdoors
  • Must be able to work with company policies, guidelines, procedures, systems, processes and tools
