Description
Total Safety is looking for a Gate Guard to join their safety conscious team! The Gate Guard’s main functions are monitoring and authorizing the entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security of premises. Under direct supervision, relies on instruction and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job, related tasks and duties expressed, implied, or otherwise assigned by the Manager, Division/District Manager. Ensures that all tasks are managed in accordance with the Customer’s requirements and the Company’s programs, policies, and procedures. Ensures compliance with all Company policies/procedures and maintains/improves good customer relations by providing quality, timely services.

Essential Duties
Writes reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
Provides consistent access control through verification of guest and employee credentials.
Provides excellent customer service.
Greeting guests and employees in a cheerful welcoming manner.
Remains flexible as the environment changes and is ready to take on other duties as assigned.
Monitoring closed circuit systems and alarms
Calls police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
Answers alarms at request of Company Man.
Stations themselves at the entrance of the site.
Advises individuals of site requirements.
Warns persons of rule infractions or violations Performs all other duties assigned.
Skills And Experience
Must possess a willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges.
Excellent customer service skills.
Strong work ethic.
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Detail oriented and thorough in completing work tasks.
Working Environment
Industrial setting, refinery, petrochemical, etc.
Indoor/Outdoor working environment to include extreme heat, extreme cold, noise, and sun exposure.
Educational Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent.
