Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
Account Management:
- Manage patient accounts by verifying insurance eligibility and coverage, obtaining pre-authorizations, and ensuring accurate billing practices.
- Review patient accounts for discrepancies, resolve outstanding balances, and identify any potential billing issues.
- Prepare and send out billing statements, follow up on outstanding invoices, and facilitate payment collections in accordance with company policies.
- Work closely with insurance companies to submit claims, appeal denied claims, and reconcile payments to ensure timely and accurate payment processing.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, account status, and payment history.
- Generate reports regarding accounts receivable, collection trends, and other metrics as required by management.
- Stay informed about healthcare regulations, insurance policies, and compliance requirements to ensure adherence to industry standards.
- Assist in audits and provide necessary documentation as requested.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in health administration, finance, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of [2-3] years of experience in medical billing, collections, or related field.
- Familiarity with healthcare insurance plans and billing procedures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Proficient in billing software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Demonstrated customer service skills and a commitment to patient satisfaction.
