About the Agency:The Idaho Division of Career Technical Education (IDCTE) provides leadership, administration, and coordination for programs in secondary and post secondary career technical education (CTE) and adult education across the state of Idaho. With a customer-service focus, the Division leads Idaho’s efforts to prepare youth and adults for high-skill, in-demand careers.
Summary:The Training Coordinator reports to the Fire Service Training (FST) Program Director and provides coordination of fire training in Idaho. This position will provide project-focused support to the FST team to help advance program strategic goals and objectives.

- Strong attention to detail.
Training administration
- Schedule and coordination of training events
- Schedule instructors
- Maintain instructors' cadre with profiles, certifications and resources
- Maintain course curriculum
- Manage training logistics
- Manage prop maintenance and coordinate FST assets.
- May attend some training events in the state of Idaho.
- Track prioritization of key projects and management of critical issues to ensure attention and focus.
- Set and maintain high standardsof quality, accuracy, and relevance for leadership, record keeping, and reporting.
- Take initiative to understand complexity of significant initiatives and advise program leadership with recommendations that lead to action and results.
- Interpret and explain specialized or complex fire service training materials into information usable by the public.
- Collaborate with and coordinate with subject matter experts to establish common accepted curriculum to meet national standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Administer project budgets and may authorize expenditures.
- Prepare fiscal, narrative, and evaluative reports on project progress.
- Contribute to a team-oriented work climate that enables professional development and encourages creative solutions and strategies.
- At least one year of first responder service experience, OR equivalent related experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the following areas: organization, leadership, and project management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders, and work within a team environment.
- Experience coordinating Fire training.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft products and applications.
- Experience managing assets for Fire Service or a related field.
- Experience in training, facilitating meetings, and public speaking.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or a relevant field or a minimum of 2 years of experience in a training or testing administration role.
