Essential Roles & Responsibilities Included But Not Limited To
- Help prepare daily school meals on time and according to a planned menu
- Serve prepared food to students and/or staff
- Operate specialized food service equipment
- Receive and unpack food and supplies
- Clean and maintain food service equipment and facilities
- Participate in ongoing professional training
- Observe safety and security procedures; report potentially unsafe condition
- Adhere to all food health and safety standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Work various shifts in a flexible schedule
- Follow cost control methods
- Operate a cash register, receive payments of cash and apply student payments
- Assist others in their responsibilities as time permits
- Work harmoniously with other staff members
- Desire to grow in discipleship, serving, equipping, learning and leading
- Personal and growing relationship with Jesus and a humility to testify to it
- Ability to explain “What Harvest Bible Chapel Believes”
- Ability to pray with other employees, guests and attenders of the church
- Be active, engaged and accountable in a biblically based church.
- Facilitate the school’s culture that promotes the values of the school mission statement
- Maintain and encourage Christ-like care for all elements of the school community
- Integrates biblical principles and the Christian philosophy of education throughout instruction
- 1-year cooking experience, preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs safely
- Ability to use kitchen equipment safely
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to follow directions
- Ability to work quickly and concisely to meet deadlines and expectations
- High School Graduate or GED
- Certified Food Service Sanitation License, or ability to become certified within 30 days of employment.
$15.25/hour
