Education and Experience : High School Diploma, GED or higher and five (5) years of fleet supervisory experience.
Licenses and Certificates : Valid Class "B" Texas Driver's License.
General Purpose
Under general direction, plan, assign and direct the maintenance and repair of automotive equipment.
Typical Duties
Plan, assign and direct the maintenance and repair of automotive equipment. Administer through subordinate personnel the operation of the fueling and parts storage areas. Plan and implement preventive maintenance programs for all automotive equipment. Allocate personnel, materials and other resources to balance workflow and ensure availability of vehicles. Perform a variety of staff support duties to assist unit or function head with office administration details in accordance with clearly defined and established procedures. Complete administrative duties as assigned.
Supervise assigned staff. Involves: Schedule, assign, instruct, guide and check work. Appraise employee performance. Provide for training and development. Enforce personnel rules and regulations and work behavior standards firmly and impartially. Counsel, motivate and maintain harmony. Interview applicants. Recommend hiring, discipline, merit pay or other employee status changes.
