Phoenix Color Job Title: Production Shift Lead

Lakeside Job Title: Technical Specialist 2

Internal Starting Pay Incentive: $1.50/hr Added on top of current base rate.

Pay Grade Range:

Hours: 5PM-1AM

Schedule: M-F, weekends when needed

Location: 200 Hulman St. Terre Haute IN 47802

As our Technical Specialist 2, you will:

  • Meet or exceed departments role’s expectations and KPIs.
  • Lead the production team during the assigned shift.
  • Ensure priorities are clearly communicated and executed.
  • Train new employees and cross-train existing staff on equipment operation, quality standards, and safety procedures.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and hands-on instruction to enhance team skills.
  • Evaluate and report training effectiveness and recommend additional learning opportunities.
  • Partner with Supervisor and/or HR to identify skill gaps and contribute to employee development plans.
  • Conduct shift huddles in Supervisor’s absence.
  • Work as the main point of contact for safety, attendance call outs, and questions in Supervisor's absence.
  • Assign duties accordingly to meet production goals in Supervisor’s absence.
  • Act as the first point of contact for technical or mechanical issues related to production needs.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and escalate unresolved problems to maintenance or Supervisor.
  • Assist other hourly employees with minor equipment adjustments as needed.
  • Promote and enforce all safety procedures and company policies.
  • Conduct safety checks with hourly employees on shift, ensure PPE usage, and correct or report incidents promptly.
  • Monitor production output of other hourly employees on shift to ensure they meet and establish quality standards.
  • All working duties as assigned in accordance with role in the department.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for 12-hour shift and lift up to 75lbs
  • Ability to bend and reach for extended periods of time

Qualifications:

  • Ability to read and understand written instructions and perform basic math
  • High levels of attention to detail
  • Ability to work as a team and provide direction
  • Mechanically inclined to fix minor machinery issues using hand tools
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
