Novant Health is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst to support strategic financial planning and decision-making across our South Carolina Region. This role is critical in developing financial models, conducting due diligence for growth opportunities, and supporting operational and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain 5 and 10 year financial forecast models for a Region which includes acute, ambulatory and physician practice entities.
  • Analysis of new business development opportunities (JVs, acquisitions, etc).
  • Collaborate with Hospital and Physician Practice leadership teams to maximize data analysis findings.
  • Create/prepare standard month-end reporting packages for CFO.
  • Prepare detailed narratives summarizing financial results for Monthly Operating Reviews.
  • Collaborate with operational leaders to support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Analyze trends in revenue, expenses, and utilization to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist in the preparation of business cases for capital investments and strategic projects.
  • Support the Regional CFO and President with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting.

Requirements

  • 4 Year / Bachelor’s Degree- Finance or Accounting
  • 2 years Healthcare Experience Preferred
  • Analytical skills: must be able to absorb large amounts of data, reaching sound business conclusions without getting “analysis paralysis”
  • General business knowledge and resourcefulness; candidate must possess aptitude and acumen necessary to leverage resources across functions of an organization to collect information or develop solutions to problems where definitive answers may not exist.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and data visualization tools.
  • Strong proficiency in PowerPoint
  • Experience in created detailed pro formas to support business growth strategies and to secure capital funding.
  • Knowledge of healthcare finance, physician compensation models, and practice operations is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional team

Additional Skills/Requirements (preferred)

  • Experience with Epic, Strata, Infor, PowerBI, Tableau, EssBase, Showcase Query
  • CPA, CFA, or HFMA certification is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
