Job Description
Join the Commercial Banking Finance team and play a pivotal role in driving business and financial analytics for the organization. As a Financial Analysis, Associate in the Commercial Banking Finance team, you will support business and financial analytics and reporting for senior leaders within the Commercial Bank. You will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and reviewing financial models and analyses, both recurring and ad-hoc. In this role, you will conduct deep dive analyses on key issues impacting clients and the business, identifying root causes and proposing solutions. You will partner with business management and analytics teams to deliver insightful reporting and drive continuous improvement.

Job Responsibilities
- Assist with dialogue with senior business leadership and stakeholders across the Commercial Bank to provide information on business trends, financial performance, market strategy, competitive landscape, and industry trends
- Develop, consolidate, and present insightful and robust qualitative and quantitative financial analysis for key internal clients, including senior management
- Maintain and review financial models and analyses, both recurring and ad-hoc
- Conduct deep dive analyses on key issues impacting clients or the business to determine root causes and propose solutions
- Partner with Business Management and Analytics and Reporting teams to develop insightful reporting, focusing on drivers and actionable outcomes
- Support public disclosures related to business strategy, financial performance, and industry trends for firmwide presentations
- Drive value-added change by helping to simplify processes, accelerate automation, and enhance analytics and business support
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and consistency in financial reporting and analysis
- Prepare presentation materials for management and other stakeholders
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency in analytics and reporting
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices in financial analysis
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in corporate financial analytics or related field
- Strong understanding of key financial statement drivers and corporate finance concepts
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills with a proven track record of execution
- Strategic thinker with the ability to synthesize complex information
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines
- Prior experience with Essbase or similar financial systems
- Experience in Commercial Banking or Financial Services
- Exposure to automation tools and process improvement initiatives
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, QlikSense)
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Intellectual curiosity and a continuous improvement mindset
