Global Prime Finance (GPF) seeks a Finance Manager to join the Membership Engagement, Growth, and Analytics (MEGA) team. This role will fall under the Member Growth (MG) pillar and will be instrumental in providing Prime membership insights to the World Wide (WW) Prime Member Growth organization. This position will provide strategic Finance support to product teams to help them develop strategies that drive Prime Member acquisition and retention.
This position will play a key role in deepening the understanding of the drivers behind Prime membership growth. This individual will be responsible for partnering with cross-functional teams to perform analysis, develop new metrics, and build forecasts/insights that support and drive strategic business decisions. We are looking for a strategic and analytical partner to join MEGA, who is not afraid of ambiguity and likes to build mental models, mechanisms, and frameworks. Key job responsibilities
This position is part of a high-performing, fast-paced Finance team whose mission is to be the trusted strategic advisor to the business and the go-to source for an end-to-end understanding of the Amazon customer. This is a highly visible role within the finance team and requires strong partnership and communication.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. - Partner with the product team to analyze data to uncover insights and key customer trends.
- Support tactical and strategic business decisions by performing analyses, maintaining and developing reporting, creating models/forecasts and developing business cases.
- Evaluate the economic value of opportunities, initiatives, and decisions.
- Support the financial planning process by tracking and reporting key performance metrics.

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science) and 5+ years of finance experience, or Master’s degree and 3+ years of finance experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience in solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits)
- Experience performing ad hoc analysis using advanced Excel
- Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis
