We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Finance Manager to join our finance team. In this role, you will play a critical part in shaping the financial strategy of our business. You will be responsible for analyzing financial data, forecasting future performance, and providing actionable insights to support decision-making. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the financial health and growth of a startup at a pivotal stage.

Key job responsibilities

  • Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A): Develop and maintain financial models to forecast business performance. Provide detailed analysis and insights into financial metrics and KPIs.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Contribute to the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecasts. Track performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying variances and providing recommendations.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior management and stakeholders. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all financial data.
  • Strategic Analysis: Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to support strategic initiatives, including market expansion, product development, and M&A activities.
  • Investment Analysis: Evaluate potential investment opportunities and capital projects. Provide financial insights to support investment decisions.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including Business Development, Marketing, Operations, Tech, and Product Management, to align financial goals with overall business objectives.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience
  • 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
  • 4+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA, or CFA
  • Knowledge of statistical modeling
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (i.e. SQL, MS Power Query, Python)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
