Field Safety Manager

A leading full-service commercial electrical contractor is seeking a skilled and motivated Field Safety Manager to lead and oversee all safety operations across a variety of electrical construction projects. This role is responsible for ensuring safety compliance across 40+ active job sites ranging from tenant improvements to multimillion-dollar developments. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with deep knowledge of OSHA compliance and the ability to manage multiple teams while building a strong safety culture in the field. They are looking for a proactive, solutions-driven safety professional who can command respect on the job site, prioritize field presence over desk time, and effectively communicate with crews, project managers, and leadership.

Salary Range: $125,000 - $185,000 / year DOE

Field Safety Manager Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site audits and safety inspections across projects throughout Southern California
• Enforce OSHA, state, local, and company safety policies and procedures
• Lead safety training programs including orientations, tailgates, and certifications
• Investigate incidents and prepare detailed root cause analysis and corrective action reports
• Support safety planning in preconstruction, including job hazard analyses and method of procedures
• Ensure proper documentation of inspections, training records, and incident reports
• Manage safety resources and provide real-time support for field teams
• Serve as the point person for emergency response efforts and post-incident reviews
• Coordinate safety documentation for project closeouts and insurance requirements
• Travel to job sites daily with one day per week in the office for paperwork
  
  

Field Safety Manager Requirements

• 5+ years of management experience with at least 3 years in construction safety
• OSHA 30 Certification required
• OSHA 500/510/511 certifications are highly preferred
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Strong understanding of safety practices in electrical or construction environments
• Comfortable working in various weather conditions and field environments
• Strong communication skills with the ability to lead and train field crews
• Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently
• Electrical contracting experience is a plus
• Bilingual in Spanish is preferred
