Prince Telecom is currently hiring Fiber Splicers to join our team in the Charlotte, NC area to help connect America!

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks associated with the electronic upgrade and splicing of cable
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot equipment after installation
• Complete daily production reports, mark-up maps, complete "as-built maps", and track daily production
• Reconcile all issued parts and materials on a daily basis to ensure accurate material usage counts.
• You will frequently work independently
• Perform other splicing related duties as assigned
• Will work a Tuesday through Saturday shift. Schedule to be determined by the Market Leader
• Will be able to do Overtime as necessary.
• Will cover chat communications with internal employees and external customers.
• Will assist in assigning work out to team members and will provide oversight, direction and technical support to field employees
• Will use proprietary tools to access data from maps, as-builts, redlines, spreadsheets and other sources to provide technical direction to field technicians.- Will complete work order tickets as needed.
• Will be able to support and respond to any and all ISP tickets that are created and perform work accordingly.
• Will need to be able to provide feedback and QC issues back to their local leadership for training purposes.
• Train and mentor new hires on all job duties required for this work type.
  
  

Who We Are Looking For…

• Minimum 18 years old
• Authorized to work in the United States for this company without sponsorship
• Valid standard driver's license
• You have experience with mechanical or fusion splicing techniques, including stripping, cleaning and cleaving of fiber optic cables.
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to work a flexible schedule (over-time, after hours, weekends)
• Focused and driven individual who can perform difficult manual labor tasks in adverse conditions
• Ability to stand, crouch, sit, bend, balance, climb, crawl, lift, hold, or stoop while on shift
• Able to lift, climb, and carry weight of up to 80lbs
